In 2016, I pitched stories and wrote for Stanford’s award-winning medical blog, SCOPE. For this piece, I attended a pain clinic that used photography as therapy, spoke to participants, and interviewed doctors working with the patients. All of it had to be approved by a few levels of administration because of the patient interviews.
